Term 3: Week 4

Another great week of learning from Wildcats class! This week in science we have been 'ice fishing', exploring the relationship between ice and salt. In art, we have been illustrating robots in the style of artist Jack Viant. We have also been doing some writing themed around our class text 'The Wild Robot' in English.

A message to Year 5, from artist Jack Viant about your amazing robot drawings!

Term 3: Week 3

Take a look at the 'robot versions' of Year 5! Year 5 have been very creative with their art this week and I love how different they all are! They have also been busy writing a spooky setting description in English, mastering short division in maths and finding out about the world wide web!

Well done Year 5 for another super week! :)

Term 3: Week 2

It was great to see lots of you on zoom this week, Ed even brought Chewbacca along!

We put our long multiplication skills to the test, discussed our persuasive writing techniques (some of us even had a go at selling our robots on screen!), and finished off with some robot trivia! It was super to catch up with you all and see your learning, you have been working so hard - well done!

Have a look at some of the 'sporting robot' adverts that Year 5 have completed. We have been using persuasive writing techniques to try and sell our robots to sporting managers...

Some of these were even turned into TV ad's! Be warned, they are very persuasive... and these robots are very expensive!
