Hello Parents and children
As I mentioned briefly at our Zoom meeting on Friday and you will have now had word from Mr Day, we are this week launching our exciting new online home learning platform 'Seesaw'. It is an effective means of communicating between home and school allowing your child to share their learning with us and for us to acknowlege it and give feedback to them. I am going to start off with a 'blended' time table for the initial weeks where some of the planning will be posted on Seesaw and the rest of it on our web page as normal. This will hopefully allow you, your child and myself to become familiar with the process and address any hiccups we might experience along the way! It is a child friendly platform and your child will enjoy eventually being able to independently respond to notifications, complete activities and post their comments. You can post photos and attachments of any learning your child might want to share and it will only be seen by me. I have attached a copy of Mr Day's letter explaining the details and you will also find some slides that might be helpful as you start to use it. I realise that home learning can be overwhelming and that many of you have your hands full already so please only do what you can manage. There are no time limits on the tasks and you can do as many or as few of them as you choose. Hopefully your children will enjoy this way of communicating and learning new skills at the same time! Have fun and good luck!
