Sport & PE
Hello Lyminge families,
Who is up for a challenge this weekend? We would love it if as many of you as possible would be able to take part in the Rainbow Run on Sunday (17th) from the comfort of your own gardens! It is an opportunity to raise a little money for some very worthy charities or just take part as part of your active lifestyles! You can set how far you would like to run, walk, skip or jump your way around your garden from 10am Sunday morning! All the organisers ask is that you let them know your distance covered at they really want to collectively hit 500km!
I know Mrs Hoad and her family have already signed up for this event. Please visit the link below to see the details of the event and how to sign up! Please also send any photos/details of your involvement to me so I can share our successes on our webpage! Good luck to everyone! Stay safe, Stay at home, Stay active!
Best wishes, Jodie Wilson, PE leader.

SPORTS DAY RESULTS
Hi all,
Well done to all at school who took part in our little sports events last week! I shall post the recording sheet if anybody would like to re-create or have a go at it at home during the holidays! You can easily improvise on some of the events!
Here are the results so that the children know the winning house and total points...........
Didn’t quite have an even balance across all houses so have added points together then averaged them out.....hope that’s the fairest way?
So
4th place - Red House 289 Pts
3rd place- Blue House 298 pts
2nd place - Yellow house 299 pts
1st place - Green house 336 pts
Well done to everybody! Some fantastic scores and effort by everybody that took part!
Thanks again, Mrs Wilson

Miss Foster’s Rainbow 5km run 🌈
Hi all,
Please don't forget to send me any details of your Rainbow Runs on Sunday 17th May. You can still take part if you would like to! See the link below for details.
I know Mrs Hoad and her family completed this too!
Mrs Wilson = 5 km
Jasmine Wilson = 3 km
We are already at 8km then! How much more can we add to this as a school?
Hello Lyminge Families!
Hope you are all well during this time!
I wanted to create a space for some PE resources and materials for you all whilst at home! I know the PE with Joe Wicks is a very popular hit with many households and is a great way to start the day! So feel free to keep going with this if you have already built it into your routine! If not then head over to Joe Wicks on YouTube and you can access a 30 minute daily exercise regime!
It is important for everyone to try and get some forms of exercise during the week. I shall upload some resources and materials that you can access at home with some ideas of activities that you can easily complete at home! Feel free to all get involved! I will try to cover a range of PE areas so please do not feel overloaded and feel that you have to complete everything! That is not the case at all. The resources are purely ideas that you can use/adjust to suit at home.
Each week I shall post a weekly challenge for the children to get involved with! At the end of each week simply email me your child's scores and I shall try my best to collate a record of scores for each year group! Again there is absolutely no pressure to complete this! If you feel you are already getting enough exercise through, walking, cycling or exercise forms you are completing at home then that is great! I am just trying to offer some alternative ideas for what you may already be doing.
You are welcome to send pictures of the children completing their exercises but only if you are authorising permission for me to upload them to our website (Safeguarding/GDPR reasons).
I hope all of this makes sense! Please email me at the following address:

With best wishes, Jodie Wilson, PE leader.
What have we been doing to keep active and healthy!

Thank you Jack and Ronnie (year 4)
