Week 1 term 1
This week was short but we got a lot done in our 1st week back! We have begun our new Maths topic on place value and looked at numbers to 10 million. In English we have created dream catcher poems, developing stanzas with both negative and positive ideas! In P.E we have had tag rugby and as Venture weren't in on Friday, we had a fun team building session (see the pictures!) We have also created Reading Rivers to show our learning journey up to year 6. We started our Samba sessions in Music and in VIPERS we started our story, the Nightbus Hero. We had a special guest (Miss Whelan) who came and talked to us about her prior work as a zoo keeper (to link with our upcoming 'Living Things' Science topic). What a busy first week! Well done Year 6 for getting involved and being great role models already for the rest of the school!
