Welcome to Term 6, Hedgehogs!

This term our Big Question is: What Would I do if I was King or Queen? We will be learning about British monarchs through time in history, and designing and making our own castles in D.T! In art, we will create self-portraits as royalty! In science this term, we will be planting and growing bean plants, observing the changes as the term goes on. We will continue to learn about Judaism in R.E this term and computing is all coding and commands! In music, we will be 'exploring sound and creating stories' and in Jigsaw our learning is all about 'change'. 

P.E kit days this term continue to be Tuesdays and Fridays. Tuesday will be striking & fielding with Mrs. Harding and Fridays will be athletics Venture Sports. We will continue with our Forest Friday session too (weather depending)! 

Welly boots are welcome to stay in school for this (and OPAL play). 

Important dates this term:

8th-11th June: Phonics Screening Assessments (completed 1:1 in school)

Friday 12th June: Sports Day

Thursday 25th June: KS1 Trip to The Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury

Wednesday 1st July: Year 1 visit to the library

Tuesday 14th July: Rock Steady Gig @ 9.30am

Wednesday 22nd July: Final day of term
