Welcome to the Year 6 Puffin Class page.

We hope that you use this class page to find out about class information; school information and learning support. Year 6 is such an incredible year with lots of opportunities!

This term our class theme begins with us looking at World War One in preparation for our Remembrance Service. This includes researching local soldiers in History, as well as writing emotional WW1 poetry. We then begin our Vikings topic, creating non-chronological reports about the vikings in English.

We will be using the White Rose Maths scheme, covering fractions.

‘Electricity’ is our Science topic and in Computing we will be using our BBC Micro:bits, including taking part in a Gladiators Competition.

In Music we will be singing the song 'Happy' and using the glockenspiels and in DT we will be creating controllable cars.

P.E will be on a Monday and Friday (P.E will be gymnastics and will be run on a Friday by Venture Sports and on Monday we have OAA).
