Welcome to the Year 6 Puffin Class page.

Welcome back after the summer break! This term we will be covering topics in class such as ‘Living Things’ in Science and the U.K in Geography. We will be using the White Rose Maths scheme, covering place value, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction for Maths this term. In Music we will be exploring Samba music and in Art & Design we will be looking at activism through art or 'artivism'. We also will be running House Captain elections this term... watch this space about a homework activity if you want to make a presentation to your team. There are other opportunities in Year 6 too including librarians and school council as well as a range of jobs from register monitor to helping lead Worship.

This term P.E will be on a Wednesday (tag rugby) and on a Friday (basketball with Venture Sports). We will aim to be outside for most sessions.

Homework will be set on a Friday and the deadline for handing it in will be on a Tuesday. Homework will be set once the tests are out of the way.

Spellings will be tested most weeks on a Friday. Look under the spelling section for the words and remember to use the Spelling Shed resource for game help.
