Welcome to Year 4!

We hope you all had a wonderful summer and feel ready to be back to school! We are all so excited to see the children and get to know them better over the next term. 

There is lots of learning to look forward to this term and we will use this page each to let you know what the children will be learning about.

Our big question is, 'Where is my place in the world?' 

The majority of our learning will be centred around our class text, 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. 

In writing, we will start by writing a character description of the Iron Man, then we will be writing a menu for the giant, a diary entry and a poem based on the characters.

Science will be electricity and DT will be making head torches using our knowledge from science. In Geography, we learn about how rivers are formed and about different rivers around the world. RE is Incarnation, Computing is Connecting Networks and PE is football and Personal Challenges. 

PE Days are Monday and Thursday this term.
