Week 1 term 2
This week Year 6 began lots of new topics including fractions (comparing and ordering as well as adding by making the denominator the same) In English we began our WW1 poetry writing and started to practise in groups for the Remembrance Service next week. In History we researched each of our soldiers that are named on the memorial and who we will lay a cross down for next week. In Science we began our electricity topic, using scientific symbols for the components. In P.E we have started handball and gymnastics. Some of the class went on a music trip to London and some of us went to the Schools Day at Canterbury Cathedral. At the cathedral the children were amazing role-models and took part in prayer workshops, calligraphy and drama. 2 children carried the school banner and 3 children write and led the talk at the end in front of a huge congregation! So brave! Well done Year 6 on a fantastic start to term 2.
