Week 2 term 3

This week we continued our English topic, writing detective stories by using inspiration from different stories. In Maths we continued with ratio and proportion, and in Science we created blood, linking to the circulatory system. In Geography we compared countries in North America using Google Earth. In Music we started our English National opera project and chose our colour... electric blue! In French we continued to learn names of classroom objects and in P.E we started our handball and continued with football.

Week 4 term 4

This week we celebrated Mrs Vincer being at Lyminge for 30 years!!! What an achievement! We learnt the passive voice through Disney in our grammar lesson, played Disney games and ended with P.E! Mrs Vincer was celebrated in assembly and Becky (Rafi's mum) even played Tale as Old as Time from Beauty and the Beast on her harp! How lovely!

Week 6 term 6

This week we did a lot of finishing off of topics including finish and evaluating our slippers! This ended in a catwalk - even the adults had a go! Well done to year 6 for showing great resilience and well done to those children that have missed our D.T sessions and used some blanket stitch skills for some socks instead!

Most of the slippers managed to last the catwalk!!!

This week we finished our algebra topic and our explanation texts for our own gadgets and also went over our PiXL tests to see what we need help with next term - very useful! In French we had our final classroom object lesson, saying what we had and did not have. In Science we became nutritionists and suggested meal and exercise ideas for different case studies. In Music we recorded our compositions and decided which group should go in which order - we will be sending our final piece to the ENO project and look forward to seeing how we do! Well done Year 6 for a fantastic term!
